I hope all is treating you well. This months meetup is happening on the 20th and is being hosted at Tek Systems. We have some great speakers lined up for the evening.

Speaker 1

Title: Mastering Kubernetes Ingress: Nginx

The primary mechanism in Kubernetes to allow traffic into the cluster is Ingress. In this talk, we’ll take a deep dive into what Ingress is, how to plan for it, and go over setup, configuration, Instrumentation, Tracing and what is in the future of the most used Ingress controller - Nginx. We will dive deep into each of the sub topics and audience are reason about the choices we make as we go along.

Sidhartha Mani (Sid) is the founder of An avid writer, speaker at open source conferences and previously senior software engineer at Rancher Labs. Sid is a community leader in the Kubernetes community, where he leads the cloud integration efforts of Kubernetes. Sid owns the South bay area Kubernetes meetup group, and talks regularly at meetups in the bay area. Sid's current efforts are focused on building Koki - a platform for automated provisioning of Blockchain infrastructure for Enterprises.

Speaker 2

Title: Using Kubernetes API effectively with Golang

Abstract: Extend Kubernetes to write custom abstractions effectively in Go language, starting with basic CRUD operations and then leading into advanced features like informers, listers watchers etc. to build robust and scalable apps.

Bio: Vishal is Founder and CTO at Infracloud technologies. Vishal brings his experience as an engineer who has worked across the whole lifecycle of software development together to bring holistic view of systems and obsessive focus on reducing waste while delivering value. Vishal has worked with Fortune 500 enterprises as well as medium scale startups. Vishal is currently focusing on serverless space by contributing to Fission serverless framework. When not at keyboard, Vishal can be found on flipping pages or behind bicycle pedals.
