• What we'll do
Join us to kick off 2018 with a visit from Kelsey Hightower! We're very excited to have Kelsey back for another visit. A Staff Developer Advocate for Kubernetes at Google, and a friend to literally everyone in the Kubernetes community, Kelsey's also the guy who wrote the book "Kubernetes Up and Running" (along with Joe Beda and Brendan Burns). He's regarded by many as the face of the Kubernetes community, and once you come hear him speak, you'll know why. This is a great opportunity for both new and existing members. If you're looking to bring new people in to the community, I can't think of a better person to come meet and to hear speak. If you'd like to see what he's about beforehand, you can check out his twitter feed at https://twitter.com/kelseyhightower
At 6pm, there will be a brief introduction of what's happened over the past couple months in Kubernetes, followed by Kelsey taking the stage. Bring your questions, bring your comments, bring your coworkers, and bring your sense of community!
Infosiftr will be providing pizza and drinks, so RSVP to make sure we have an accurate count.
We'll also have several free copies available of the sample chapters of Kelsey's book, courtesy of our friends at Heptio, as well as a bucket of swag left over from Kubecon. Leave with more Kubernetes stuff than you came with!
I hope to see many of you there on January 18th!
