Whether you’re a systems administrator, application developer, or end user, after this talk you’ll walk away with a thorough understanding of Kubernetes disaster recovery, including:

• Strategies for Kubernetes

• Which components to back up vs recreating from scratch

• Back up and quickly restore your cluster applications, workloads, and persistent volumes using tools such as Heptio Ark

About the Speaker

Ross Kukulinski is a Staff Systems Architect at Heptio, Inc., where he focuses on growing the Kubernetes community, tackling global-scale engineering problems, and guiding businesses on their Cloud Native journey.  His technical background is in architecting and deploying scalable, containerized, real-time application infrastructure.  Ross is a CNCF Ambassador, member of the Node.js Evangelism Working Group, and represents the RethinkDB Community Team.  He received his B.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.  Ross is a digital nomad and cheesesteak connoisseur currently residing in Philadelphia with his wife and their Labrador Retriever.
