Keeping Application Storage in Sync in a Container Environment
What if every application could be moved to any server in your environment? What if you could do away with pet servers? What if every application could have the same high availability characteristics managed at the storage layer?
Spend some time with Owen Taylor of StorageOS who will discuss and demonstrate how it is now possible to manage state in an abstraction layer that supports running databases in containers and using orchestrators like Kubernetes.
Deploying persistent storage in containers.
When deploying stateful apps, (MongoDB, Kafka, Elastisearch etc), customers need to think about resiliency and performance of data in containers. We'll cover some of the challenges of tools such as CEPH, Gluster etc.
Architects also need to consider Snapshot, HA/ DR and muti-zone failover for their workloads and how to design these for scale.
