Intro and Welcome

10:45 AM - 11:30 AM
Maximizing Dev Productivity in Kubernetes: Must-Have Tools and Best Practices

In this talk, we'll show how developers can boost productivity by streamlining Kubernetes workflows with tools like ChartMuseum, Docker Registry, and Kind. ChartMuseum helps manage and share Helm charts for easier deployments, while a private Docker Registry speeds up image retrieval and reduces reliance on external services. Kind simplifies local cluster setup for testing, closely mirroring production environments. By the end, attendees will learn how to integrate these tools into their CI/CD pipelines to enhance Kubernetes development and deployment efficiency.

Speaker: Dinesh Pundkar (Senior Member Of Technical Staff at Nutanix)

11:30 AM - 11:45 AM
Handling Storage Full Scenario in CloudNativePG

In this lightning talk, we’ll cover how to handle storage issues in CloudNativePG on Kubernetes. When storage fills up, PostgreSQL can stop working, especially if the WAL disk is full.
You’ll learn how to fix this by expanding the Persistent Volume Claim (PVC) and updating the Cluster resource to apply the change across all pods, restoring normal operation.

Speaker: Danish K (Principal Software Engineer at EDB)

11:45 AM - 12:05 PM
Kubernetes Security Essentials: Best Practices for a Resilient Cluster

This talk will explore key security challenges in Kubernetes environments and provide actionable insights to secure your cluster. Topics include container image vulnerabilities, managing secrets, enforcing RBAC, and implementing runtime protection. Attendees will also learn about tools like Trivy, kube-bench, and Falco to strengthen security and ensure compliance. Whether you're new to Kubernetes or aiming to improve your security, this session offers practical tips to protect your workloads.

Speaker: Sangram Gaikwad (Lead SRE Engineer at IntraEdge)

12:05 PM - 12:20 PM
Speed Mentoring on Technical Hiring

A quick activity-based workshop.

Speaker: Ancy Nimsha Sreenivasan (VP Human Resources at IntraEdge)

12:30 PM - 01:00 PM
Crossplane: K8s as a Universal Control Plane

This talk will be a brief introduction to the Crossplane project from Upbound which is an attempt to evolve Kubernetes from a container orchestrator to a universal control plane capable of orchestrating cloud resources, objects sitting outside kubernetes or almost anything that has an API. I will also share how the K8s ecosystem itself is benefitting from projects like crossplane and how I see Crossplane as a long term replacement of IAC tools like Terraform. I will share my Crossplane adoption journey and it's benefits in managing infrastructure at scale and alignment with GitOps framework.

Speaker: Utkarsh Mishra (Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Mitra AI)

01:00 PM - 01:30 PM
