--------- The Talks ---------

Carolin Schuntermann - Let’s Turn Off the Database – Chaos Engineering @ Porsche Informatik

Chaos Engineering is the discipline of experimenting on a system under extraordinary circumstances in order to build confidence in the system’s capability to withstand turbulent conditions in production. In this talk, we will explore the concept of Chaos Engineering and its real-life application to improve the reliability and resilience of the Porsche Holding Identity Provider. We will elaborate on how we used Chaos Monkey for Spring Boot to simulate failures in a controlled environment, allowing us to pinpoint possible weak spots and subsequently reinforce them. Finally, we will show a live demonstration in which we deactivate the system’s access to the database of our Identity Provider, and present how we handle this failure gracefully.

Jürgen Etzlstorfer - "Supercharge Your Coding with GitHub Copilot and Actions: The AI-Powered Productivity Duo!"

The advent of GitHub Copilot and Actions has transformed the way developers approach coding. GitHub Copilot uses AI to assist developers in writing code more efficiently and accurately, while Actions automates software workflows and processes, resulting in higher productivity. In this presentation, we will explore how GitHub Copilot and Actions work together to help developers write better code, detect and fix errors faster, and streamline the development process. We will also discuss how these tools can benefit developers across different programming languages and project types. [written by ChatGPT]
