--------- The Talks ---------

Katharina Sick - Crossplane & GitOps - A perfect match?

This talk will explore the combination of Crossplane and GitOps for automating infrastructure management. Attendees will follow our team's journey from manual deployments over Terraform to the benefits of GitOps, ending in how Crossplane can help manage infrastructure as code to automate the creation and maintenance of cloud resources. We will also cover the basics of GitOps and how it enables teams to manage infrastructure through code changes.

Throughout the session, Katharina will share their experiences combining GitOps and Crossplane, including best practices, pitfalls, and what they would do differently now.

---

David Hondl - Kubernetes as universal controlplane

Kubernetes has been a well established tool for orchestrating your container workloads for some time now.

Its extensible nature not only provides tons of tools to add additional functionality, it also gives you the power to extend it yourself using operators.

But what if we could go even one step further and extend it to the point where it's not only a tool for orchestrating containers, but for orchestrating everything else as well?

In this talk we will delve into the topic of establishing Kubernetes as a universal control plane and introduce "Crossplane", a tool that will help us along the way.
