About this event

We are excited to host the 23rd edition of the Cloud Native Computing Linz meetup!

We'd like to thank Cloudflight for hosting the Meetup!

--------- The Speakers ---------

Martin Strigl

After buying his first CD Pack of SUSE Linux 4.3 back in 1996 and compiling almost every interesting bit of Software (including X) from scratch Martin switched Distribution and quickly fell in love with RedHat Linux by using it regularly beginning with Zoot. Ever since then he tried to contribute back all the little piece of code he wrote while driving a Serverfarm in a way that nowadays people tend to call DevOps Style. During the last 20 years Martin had the pleasure to gain a lot of fundamental knowledge along the whole stack from L1 - L7. The last 5 years brought a strong focus on container technologies with all its surroundings (like orchestration frameworks), IAAS and software defined storage.

Thomas Schuetz

Thomas is a Cloud Native Engineer, Advocate and Educator enthusiastic about making cloud-native more comfortable. As a CNCF Ambassador and Open Source Maintainer (Keptn and K8sGPT), he is always eager to find ways to deliver software and troubleshoot issues more efficiently.

--------- The Talks ---------

CertOps - Certificate Lifecycle Management done Cloud Native

In this talk I want to shed some light on the CNCF member project Certificate Manager which covers the process of obtaining and renewing X509 certificates by adding these as resource types in K8S. Aside from some general Information regarding PKIs and the most typical use cases, the usage in a private PKI context will also be covered.

Thomas Schuetz - Leveraging AI to Troubleshoot Kubernetes with K8sGPT

Did you spend hours finding production issues on your Kubernetes environments? Were you really upset when you found out that it were trivial things which held you back? In this talk, you will learn about some common issues you find in Kubernetes clusters and how AI can help you troubleshoot them. Finally, you will learn how to gain SRE superpowers with your AI-driven troubleshooting-buddy K8sGPT, who helps you to find problems in your K8s environment and solve them.
