Benefits of Multi-Cloud & Evolution of a Build Process & Automate Everything

In-person event

About this event

Hello Los Angeles Kubernauts!

We are going to mix things up slightly by having not just two, but three K8s presentations!

First, Kevaughn is going to discuss how Steelhouse deploys to Kubernetes in a multi-cloud environment. He will talk about the architectural decisions that made the Steelhouse cloud-agnostic platform possible and highlight the benefits of running in multiple clouds.

Second, Zach will take us on a journey through the evolution of the Steelhouse build process. He will highlight the pain points they wanted to solve from a Software Engineer’s perspective.

Finally, Erik will introduce the Geodesic cloud automation shell. This open source project is a superset of other open source tools that can be used to automate workflows. It easily versions dev/staging/prod environments in a repeatable manner that can be followed by any team member with only a single dependency: Docker.

SPONSORED: A big thank you to Codefresh, Steelhouse and NetApp for their support of this meetup.
