Open Source impact in society is undeniable! There are thousands of communities globally developing something: something which can potentially become the next Linux, Kubernetes, or Android! But what are these communities about? What type of people live in them, collaborate, build, and document? How can we measure their real contribution to society? To social progress and development,  science or education ??

In this Cloud Native Talk, we will have a funny, constructive, out-of-the-box debate between Guillermo and Bart. We will have the opportunity to listen first-hand to the testimony of 2 illustrious open-source supporters with amazing experience in building and supporting open-source communities! We intend to discuss Open Source and cloud-native in general, the importance of communities, ethics and social impact! But the discussion is open and we will be waiting for you, for your questions and your ideas!

Now, a bit more about the panel....

Guillermo, aka G,  is a Senior Developer Advocate for AWS. But before that, he created start-ups and worked in other huge corporations. He is the co-host of the Podcast "Charlas Técnicas de AWS", creator of devrebel.co (Spanish open-source & CNCF Tech Talks), Co-host of Unleash Podcast (unleashpod.com) and former co-host of the 'Oracle Beards & Beers' show.

Bart, well, Bart is Bart! He is a CNCF Ambassador and a veteran community leader. He has been advocating for best practices and principles on how to do "tech from the human side". Funny enough, he is also an amateur rapper and lives in Spain. Bart has spent the last decade helping tech companies expand their audience through content that stands out from the rest and organized and hosted over 250 cloud-native events in 10 different countries. WOW!!!! You read it well: 250 in 10 different countries! Coming from a non-technical background in a very technical world, Bart’s ability to build lasting relationships has expanded to a network of 25k on his social media.
