Following up on our successful first meeting in January, we have scheduled our next meetup bring fellow Microservices enthusiasts together on April 6th. We have made a few changes to the format based on the feedback we received.
We have a great guest speaker, Richard Li from Datawire.io, who is working on developing open source tools to make it easier to build resilient Micorservices.
We have a great location. The Microsoft NERD center in Cambridge, MA will be hosting our meeting.
This meeting will be limited to the first 50 guests to RSVP.
Meetup Agenda:
Introductions: Ajit Umrani, Assembla
Guest Speaker: Richard Li, Datawire.io
Are you thinking about microservices? Are you wondering how people are developing microservices? Microservices are a powerful concept that can enable continuous delivery and faster velocity, but it's also a different way of designing and thinking about systems. This talk will discuss common design patterns for microservices, and discuss the infrastructure you'll need to deploy for microservices. We'll also give a preview of open source tools we're building at Datawire that aims to make all this easier.
Follow up Discussion topic: Technology stack available and missing tools for building applications using Microservices concept.
Interest Groups: We will break into smaller interest groups based on the topics suggested by members.
Important:
We have to follow the guidelines below to get access to the NERD center.
*All guests must register with building security, located in the lobby of One Memorial Drive, prior to entering Microsoft’s facility. They must present a government issued, photo ID to lobby security in order to be allowed access to the building. If a guest is unable to present the proper ID they will not be allowed access to the building.
*All of your attending guests will be required to sign a waiver in order to gain access to our event space. Signing the waiver is optional, if a certificate of insurance is submitted prior to your event (which we don't).
*To ensure your guests have a seamless check-in at security, please send an attendee list (first & last name) to [masked] at least two days prior to your meeting. (We will send the list for people registered before April 4th)
