Container Camp is just around the corner and we're lucky enough to have Keynote speaker and Lead PM for Containers on Microsoft Azure, Gabe Monroy in town for the evening.

As this is a special event our evening will look a little different than usual.

Our schedule for the evening currently looks like this:

2. Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) with Gabe Monroy - 6.15 onwards.

Abstract:

Announced in October 2017 as an advancement of Azure's existing container services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) was the first managed Kubernetes offering in any major cloud provider to offer a free management plane. Additionally, while AKS provides a standard Kubernetes service, users get the benefit of availability, scaling and upgrades being managed on their behalf by the Azure platform. If you want to know more about AKS from one of the key people in this space from Microsoft this is your chance!

About Gabe:

Gabe Monroy is the Lead PM for Containers on Microsoft Azure and represents Microsoft on the governing board of the Cloud Native Computing foundation. Gabe was the founder and CTO of Deis, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2017. As an early contributor to Docker and Kubernetes, Gabe has deep experience with containers in production and frequently advises organiaations on PaaS, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures.
