Delivering services at planet scale: The short history of containers at Google and how Kubernetes came to be (including a live demo!) 

In this presentation, Corey will give a bit of history and background info on the use of container technology at Google and how this lead to the birth of Kubernetes. Corey will describe the anatomy (or Kuberatomy) of Kubernetes and how it relates to the Google Container Engine (GKE) service inside Google Cloud Platform. Finally, Corey will demo a source-to-prod continuous delivery flow for a hello world app, deployed via containers, on GKE, using Spinnaker! For added fun, there will be a few trivia questions sprinkled throughout, with some Google swag to be given away!!.
