We are happy to announce the October Microservice meetup, which we are co-hosting with our friends from the Cloud Foundry DACH User Group.
Agenda
18:30-19:00 Distributed Tracing of Microservices with Kubernetes and ZipKin, by Max Schöfmann (Container Solutions)
Dynamic microservice environments can be a challenge to debug. Distributed Tracing systems make requests observable as they pass through the infrastructure, making sources of errors or increased latencies easily visible. Twitters ZipKin is one such a system. We'll show in this talk, how ZipKin can be combined with Kubernetes to observe an application consisting of multiple microservices.
19:00-19:30 How Swisscom leverages microservices and deploy them on Cloud Foundry by Josef Eisele, Swisscom
Josef will show how the agile development process in his team looks like. He will compare this to the time before Cloudfoundry was used. Further he will present some lessons learned in regards of projects that recently went to production. In addition, he will show tools and how-to’s for the deployment of their applications and the begin of separating microservices.
19:30-21:00 Beer, Food, Networking
