Hello NYC Kubernauts! We are happy to announce the July New York City Kubernetes Meetup (#NYCk8s) will be on Wednesday, June 13th at the YellowHammer offices in the NoMad. We're very excited to have Barak Michener, Lead Engineer of Torus speak. He will talk about Torus, a new distributed storage prototype from CoreOS, and demo how it works with Kubernetes pods and the FlexVolume plugin. Agenda: Bios Barak previously worked at Google through the acquisition of Metaweb. At Metaweb he focused on the graph database behind freebase.com. This led to his side project as lead maintainer of Cayley, an open source graph database. While at Google he worked on structured search using structured data to improve Google Search after some time focusing on music research and multi-model machine learning algorithms.
