Talk Description:

The Kubernetes Developer's Ecosystem

Tariq Islam - Google

With 2017 having been the year of Kubernetes, 2018 is shaping up to be the year of the Kubernetes Developer. In this talk, we'll discuss the various ways in which a developer might interact with Kubernetes, the tools that are available for those interactions, and which of them fit well. We'll look at basic tools like IDE's all the way through to the right way to build a container and deploy it out to a Kubernetes environment, and what to use to maintain the lifecycle of that application. Finally, we'll talk about how developing with Kubernetes and its associated toolchains is leading to the fruition of implementing how Google itself works. You'll walk away with a better understanding of the various tools that are in the community, what they're best for, how they fit together, and how you can best utilize them to be more productive.
