We’ve partnered up with Snyk and some other amazing local communities across the Germany & Europe to bring you a week-long virtual event aimed at bringing development, operations, and security teams together to meet, learn, and collaborate on the best and brightest approaches to secure development.

We’re excited to be the second stop along the road! Check out all the other stops here https://snyk.co/roadtrip-cncf-paris

12:30 - 12:35 am - Kick-Off

Join Matt Jarvis, Cloud Native UK leader and Brian Vermeer, vJUG leader as we kick off this stop of the Virtual DevSecOps Road Trip.

12:35 - 1:00 pm - Build a smooth ci/cd pipeline using gitops and fluxv2.

with Smaïne Kahlouch Senior Site Reliability Engineer & Mathieu Gillot, Backend Developer at KMTX

Working in a fast-growing company raises a wide range of technical and organizational challenges. Key points to address

- define best practices

- improve the developer experience and increase ownership

- rely on a fast and secure release workflow

In this talk, we will explain how we did implement our own solutions using EKS, Fluxv2, SealedSecrets, and many more.

1:00-1:20 pm - Policy As Code through the Cloud Custodian rules engine

with Tanguy Combe, Cloud Builder and Ismael Hommani, Cloud Native Developer at Wescale France

The ""Everything As Code"" approach is well established when it comes to defining infrastructure on the cloud. However, considering compliance rules on your platform, the picture still needs to be defined. Cloud platforms provide tools but they cannot answer all business needs. People usually tend to define specific rules through manually defined workloads.

Cloud Custodian allows you to declare such rules through a simple DSL and provides you in the process with governance and standardization.

1:20 - 1:30 pm - Q&A with today’s speakers

That’s a wrap

The road trip heads to its final stop in the Nordics tomorrow - See you there

----------------------------------

Smaïne Kahlouch: Smaïne is a senior Site Reliability Engineer with a particular interest in Linux containers and cloud technologies. He currently leads the DevOps/SRE initiatives at KMTX. As side activities, he is part of the CNCF Paris community organizers, and has the role of CNCF Ambassador in France.

Mathieu Gillot: Working in the Social Gaming, Video, and MarketPlace industries for the last 10 years, I specialized in high traffic web applications' optimisation & monitoring, and transition from monolith to SOA. I currently work at KMTX in scale team, designing tools to enhance developer experience by allowing fast and safe delivery.

Tanguy Combe: With the use of his background in data modeling and analytics, Tanguy quickly changed his objectives to zoom on to Cloud Solutions. Now having two years of experience developing security solutions for a public cloud platform company-wide, Tanguy puts in the foreground DevOps methodology assets: Scalability, Agility, and Resiliency to find solutions adapted to customer needs.

Ismael Hommani: With almost a decade in the development field, Ismael has always evolved according to the problems he faced. Scalability, resiliency and security are the watchwords of his approach. Today, Cloud is reaching a point in maturity such that anybody can bring its ideas to life. More than its potentiality, what matters to Ismael is how to go and stay on the Cloud especially by using a Cloud Native approach. Ismael has been a GCP Google Developer Expert since 2021.
