This month, we're lucky to have Cody Hill, a Lead Cloud Architect at Platform9 where he works on Fission, an open source serverless stack. He'll be walking through the basics, features, and installation of a serverless cluster atop Kubernetes.
Serverless computing allows application developers to push microservices into a cloud without the overhead of a virtual machine or even a container. While serverless does simplify the application developers job, it still requires an underlying container infrastructure. Kubernetes is the ideal underlying platform to run serverless. As part of this walkthrough, a MicroK8s cluster will be set up to support this serverless cluster.
