About this event

Midokura will be speaking on MidoNet, their Open Source Network Virtualization, available for OpenStack. MidoNet virtualizes networking and moves it off the OpenStack controller into the compute nodes for resilience and performance.

Like OpenStack, MidoNet itself is open source and the source code for MidoNet is freely available at www.midonet.org . MidoNet is built on foundational open source technologies like Quagga, Apache Zookeeper, Apache Cassandra and ELK stack.

Unlike open vSwitch in Neutron that process packets off-box, MidoNet provides single hop packet processing performance by programming the Linux kernel directly without going through middle boxes.

Configure and spin up core L2/L3 and advanced networking services like LBaaS, FWaaS in seconds, using the standards based Neutron APIs
