We are excited to announce the next San Francisco Kubernetes meetup will be April 27, 2017 at Bloomberg in San Francisco. 

Since we are hosting at Bloomberg we are required to utilize Eventbrite for registration. This is due to security at Bloomberg's building.

Bio/Briefs(s)

Mark Stemm is a Software Engineer with 20 years experience using data and analysis to solve hard problems and build great products. He has a B.S. in Mathematics/Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and a M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. He's worked at Fast Forward Networks/Inktomi on the first generation of internet-based live video broadcasting, at Cloudmark building the world's leading email anti-spam platform for ISPs and mobile providers, and at Jut building a streaming data analysis and visualization platform. Mark currently works at Sysdig on the open source product Falco, a behavioral activity monitor with full support for containers.

Brijesh Shetty is a Technical Lead & Engineering Manager at Bloomberg in San Francisco, and currently leads the Platform-as-a-Service initiative within the company. His group is currently focused on leveraging Kubernetes to help improve the overall developer experience. Brijesh also has deep experience building large-scale, real-time, distributed systems. Previously at Bloomberg, prior to moving to SF, Brijesh helped build & launch a hosted e-discovery platform and was responsible for the ingestion & search subsystems that handled over 80 billion documents, and multiple petabytes of data. In this talk, Brijesh will share their experience with building a custom PaaS in Bloomberg, using Kubernetes on top of their private cloud.
