Agenda:

6:30 - 7:00 - Social

7:00 - 7:30 - Tom Trahan - Shippable - Continuous Delivery to Kubernetes

Shipping code involves many activities like infrastructure provisioning, CI, Testing, managing releases, security patching, config mgmt, etc. While DevOps automation tools help with specific tasks, they often do not work well together. Setting up Continuous Delivery across these tools and activities is challenging, especially for modern microservices-based applications. In this talk, we will discuss the challenges around implementing deployment pipelines for Docker-based applications and demonstrate Continuous Delivery to Kubernetes clusters.

7:30 - 8:00 - Ria Bhatia - Microsoft - Azure Container Instances (ACI) & Helm

Azure Container Instances is the best and fastest way to easily get started with containers on the cloud. Within the cluster management space the real magic happens when we connect ACI to a pre-provisioned Kubernetes cluster. Throughout the talk I’ll be going through ACI, the ACI-Connector which is currently an experimental project, and how to easily deploy parts of an application using Helm charts. Feel free to bring all your burning Azure + Kubernetes questions – I’m very excited to hear your thoughts and feedback!

8:00 - Social, Wrap-up, Jet
