About this event

Kubernauts!

We are excited to announce the next San Francisco Kubernetes meetup will be August 16, 2018 at Sysdig's offices in San Francisco.

If you want to host or speak at the K8s community meetups, please reach out to me via email ([masked]) or Twitter (@baldwinmathew).

Agenda:

6:30 - 7:00 - Social

7:00 - 7:30 - TensorFlow on Kubernetes - Microsoft - Dharmesh Kakadia

I will briefly highlight some of our machine learning use cases, before diving deep into how we run Tensorflow based machine learning workflows on Kubernetes. It includes how we make cloud storage accessible for model training, how we store models currently and operational aspects of machine learning productization.

I will also demo our dev workflow for Tensorflow with an example and how we deploy prod pipeline through CI/CD. Finally I will touch upon current state of GPU support on k8s, building vs buying a machine learning platform and some of the learning we had along the way.

7:30 - 8:00 - Multi-cloud CI/CD - Kubernetes Failover Across Clouds - Dan Garfield

Multi-cloud Kubernetes is all about mitigating risk between hosting providers. In this webinar, we’ll leverage Kubernetes as our universal cloud API, standup clusters in Google, Amazon, and Azure, setup multi-deploy so our application is in several locations, and demonstrate failover should one cloud fail.

Come ready to see:
- Continuous Delivery to multiple Kubernetes providers
- Cluster creation on multiple clouds from a single interface
- How to create failover rules
- A practical guide on how to set it up for yourself

8:00 - 8:30 Social, Wrap-up, Jet
