Hello SF Kubernauts-
Let's get 2019 rolling!
First, we have a request. We'd love it if you took a couple of minutes to complete a short survey which will help shape the event in 2019. If you're part of an underrepresented group, we'd really love your feedback. To provide your feedback and potentially win some swag, please go here : https://goo.gl/forms/s28wC8qpBF17b9X52
On to the talks - first up, we have Abe Ingersoll of Gravitational who will take us on a journey of the who/what/when/where/why of #serverless aka #nodeless on K8s ... with demos, of course!
Next up, we'll welcome Alex Clemmer of Pulumi for a live demo driven presentation. Pulumi is an OSS cloud configuration SDK aimed at streamlining updates to ConfigMaps, enabling A/B traffic splitting and staged rollouts - so you can deploy reliably and predictably, without sacrificing the ability to reason about the blast radius of a change.
AGENDA
6:30 - 7:00 - Social
7:00 - 7:10 - Community Announcements
7:10 - 7:40 - Abe Ingersoll, Gravitational
7:45 - 8:15 - Alex Clemmer, Pulumi
8:15 - 8:45 - Social / Wrap-up
SPEAKER BIOS
Abe helped build and rebuild (and rebuild again) systems of pristine virtue and glorious complexity that have long since been forgotten or destroyed by entropy. Today he finds himself orchestrating solutions of unimaginable scale for Gravitational's air-gapped Kubernetes and enterprise Teleport SSH customers; all while his passion (and waning technical skill) lies in constantly refreshing Hacker News.

Alex works at Pulumi. He was an early employee at Heptio. Before that, he worked at Microsoft on Mesos, the Bing index core, and a large-scale stream processing system.
