Hello Seattle Kubernauts!
We are delighted to invite you to the next SEAK8s meetup. Auth0 has graciously offered to host us in their new office space in downtown Bellevue.
The first presentation of the evening is from Auth0's own Jon Carl. He is going to to discuss "Secure, Group-Based k8s Auth." Kubernetes has several different ways to authenticate users who are interacting with a cluster. This talk will explore some of those options and offer a new tool, k8s-pixy-auth, which allows for secure, group-based access that works natively with kubectl and Kubernetes clusters.
Following that, William will take us through the k3s project from Rancher. K3s is the outcome of taking a fresh look at how Kubernetes is deployed and managed. The result is a Kubernetes footprint that is smaller, easier to manage and more versatile for use cases such as embedded and edge computing.
SPONSORED: Thank you to NetApp for ongoing support of the meetup group and to Auth0 for hosting this month.

Jon Carl is a platform engineer at Auth0 where he works on a team building and supporting a k8s based platform for all services offered by Auth0.
William Jimenez is a curious systems engineer who enjoys solving problems with computers, software, and just about any complex system he can get his hands on. He enjoys helping others make sense of difficult problems. In his free time, he likes to tinker with amateur radio, cycle on the open road, and spend time with his family.
Auth0 is located in the US Bank building at the corner of NE 8th St and 108th Ave NE in Bellevue. The entrance is on the east side of the building between the main building and a parking structure. Once you enter, take the elevator to the 7th floor. We'll be meeting in a room that is visible from the 7th floor elevator lobby, just to the east. See you there!
