The When and Why of Service Meshes & A Cloud Native Database

SURF Incubator - 999 3rd Ave #700 Seattle - View Map Seattle

About this event

Hello Seattle Kubernauts!

Please join us on Wednesday evening for two educational presentations and the opportunity to meet with other K8s enthusiasts.

The program will start off with Andrew from Aspen Mesh talking about service meshes. He'll discuss things to consider when deciding if and/or when to implement a service mesh. What features does a service mesh bring to a cluster? There will also be a demo based around Istio.

Second, we'll welcome Roko to introduce the cloud native database, CockroachDB. He'll explain what it is and the properties that make it great for running on Kubernetes. His presentation will wrap up with a demo.

SPONSORED: A big thank you to NetApp for continuing support of the Seattle Kubernetes Meetup.
