What’s happening?

The SF Bay Cloud Native Open Infra user group (formerly SF Bay OpenStack), and the Out-of-the-Box Network Developer meetup group are teaming up again with 10 wonderful sponsors to provide an afternoon and evening of talks, training, and fun! Tracks and topics include Containers, NFV, SDN, Cloud Native Storage, IoT, ONAP Networking, and more! The 5pm keynote features Lew Tucker, Cisco CTO, on Istio and Service Mesh! And it’s all topped off with a fun birthday celebration that will include lightning talks (back by popular demand)!

Join us for a great 1/2 day event to celebrate our Cloud Native, Open Infrastructure community, and of course we’ll have our signature cupcakes for OpenStack’s 8th birthday! If you don't have time for the afternoon talks and labs, simply join us for the keynotes, or in the evening for the social, networking, Lightning Talks, and party! And don't miss the FOOD TRUCKS! We've really stepped it up this year! :)

1:30-4:20 - Hands-on Labs featuring Kolla OpenStack on Containers with, Robert Starmer, CTO Kumulus Technologies, additional labs with Kata Containers, and running Applications (Redis Databases) in Containers (Kubernetes and Portworx).
Breakout sessions include Cloud Native & Container Support in ONAP from Intel and AT&T, talks from Red Hat, SoftIron, Datera, and a talk from the CEO of VEXXHOST on Kubernetes and OpenStack: Better than bare-metal?
4:30 - You're Doing Kubernetes Wrong (Google's Medya Ghazizadeh and original K8s PM and GKE co-creator Eric Han)
5:00 - Customer and Operator panel: Kubernetes in the REAL WORLD. 6:40 - Platform9 kicks off the evening session, followed by 5-minute lightning talks from Canonical, Cisco DevNet, Datera, Intel, Packet Host, Portworx, Red Hat, RedisLabs, and SoftIron.
* The cupcakes and raffles will happen periodically between the lightning talks.
