During this session CloudFounders will discuss the current status of OpenStack storage projects and give an overview of the new  features in Open vStorage 2.0. 

James Hughes, Principal Technologist will provide an update on Kinetec Open Storage platform.

Open vStorage is an open-source project with a single focus: offer the fastest Virtual Machine storage for OpenStack. With Open vStorage we have built technology which has the features of high-end SANs (performance, zero-copy snapshots, thin cloning) but is also scale-out and low-cost. Open vStorage uses flash technology as Tier 1 storage and Object Storage or a pool of Seagate Kinetic drives as Tier 2 storage.
