*Powering Millions of Containers and Microservices for TikTok with Open Source
KubeWharf is an open source project hub from ByteDance built on Kubernetes which has been deployed widely to power millions of containers, including Microservices and AML workloads supporting Bytedance and Tiktok business. It aims to provide open source solutions to address key challenges for large-scale cloud native situations, including scalability, stability, multi-tenancy isolation, resource efficiency, and observability. KubeWharf currently has published 6 open source projects (KubeBrain, KubeGateway, KubeZoo, Katalyst, KubeAdmiral, Kelemetry). KubeAdmiral is the K8s cluster Federation solution for multi-cluster & multi-cloud challenges. It is based on KubeFed and has been successfully deployed in multiple regions at ByteDance since 2019. In this session, we will first briefly talk about KubeWharf's history and status, and then mainly present how KubeAdmiral works and briefly cover its typical use scenarios.
