OpenStack Essex Doc Day

SF Bay Cloud Native

Mar 6, 2012, 5:00 – 8:00 PM

In-person event

About this event

Come help us get OpenStack docs in shape for the OpenStack Essex release. This event will last from 9 am - 4 pm, and lunch will be provided. The session will kick off with a half-hour overview of doc process and tools, followed by collaboration and independent work. Please register so we can order the right amount of food and drinks. This is a "bring your own laptop" event.  Similar to our Doc Days in the past, the goal for the Doc Day is to sprint to the release finish line for documentation. The Essex release is April 5th, and the documentation has been pacing along with development, but there are still gaps to fill. Here are some ideas for documentation work: Configuration information about new flags now available in the Essex release Insert nova client commands where euca- commands are in the current documentation Document API extensions for operators and cloud users, such as the Volume API Set up and configuration for switching from RabbitMQ to Qpid Volume how-tos for setting up additional backends
Following doc sprint day, we encourage you to stick around for the TryStack meetup, which will start at 6 pm in the Rackspace office. We'll start "happy hour" at 4 pm, with time to hang out, enjoy ping pong and foosball at the Rackspace office! Picture below from Austin Doc Day, March 2010, courtesy of Anne Gentle:
