Come join the gurus in Quantum, in an interactive session on trends and technologies that will shape the future of the industry. Quantum is an incubated Openstack project to provide “network connectivity as a service” between devices (e.g. vNICs) managed by other Openstack services (e.g. Nova). It provides a critical building block for sophisticated cloud networking topologies.

Why Quantum? What is the architecture and roadmap? How can Quantum be leveraged by customers for greenfield and existing cloud infrastructure deployments. How can Quantum be integrated with Fabrics, Software Defined Networks/Openflow? How can you be involved with Quantum? Schedule:

Bios:

Dan Wendlandt of Nicira is the project team lead (PTL) for the OpenStack Quantum project. He has held the Sr Product Manager, Technical Design, Software development roles at Nicira. He graduated from Stanford and is in the Computer Science PhD program at Carnegie Mellon focused on networking and security.

Sumit Naiksatam of Cisco is a Technical Leader in the Cisco CTO's Office where he is focused on evolving Cisco's Cloud Computing strategy. He has been involved with Quantum since its inception, and regularly contributes blueprints, code, and reviews as a core developer to  Quantum and other OpenStack projects. He has a Ph.D. in High Performance Networking.
