Swift has been running in production at Rackspace for over a year with near 100% uptime. Rackspace’s Swift clusters store billions of objects and petabytes of data. Several companies, including Internap, KT, SDSC, & HP have deployed swift clusters in production in various sizes. Come hear about the project from leaders and users of the project.

Reinhardt will describe one of the cloud initiatives within Cisco, and discuss the decision process around selecting the platform and the services offered with an emphasis on storage. Reinhardt Quelle - is the Sr. Product Manager for Cloud Services in the Collaboration Software Group at Cisco Systems. Reinhardt is building the cloud platform from which Cisco delivers SaaS applications such as WebEx and Jabber.

John Dickinson - is a technical lead at Rackspace Hosting where he works on Rackspace’s CloudFiles product. He has been active in the Openstack community since its inception and is the Project Technical Lead for Openstack Swift. John has built enormous data storage clusters that store billions of objects and petabytes of data for their customers.
