About this event

Agenda:

6:30-7:00 Networking/Food&Bev
7:00-8:00 Presentation & Demo
8:00-8:30 Q&A/Networking

Abstract:

OpenContrail is one of the most widely deployed SDN technologies for OpenStack clouds. Large enterprises and service providers are using it in production, and this meetup offers some tips, insights, and "don't go theres" from users with success stories (and some battle scars).

Come to this meetup to learn how users are deploying OpenContrail for load balancing, HA, service chaining and analytics/orchestration. DP Ayyadevara will deliver an overview of the project and some of its users, then dive into a demo showcasing OpenContrail integration for Kubernetes clusters as well nested environments (K8s on OpenStack, K8s + OpenStack + bare metal), as well as OpenContrail’s containerized control plane.

As both Enterprise and Telco IT architectures evolve, it is apparent that supporting multi-cloud environments are table stakes. This meetup will lay out how OpenContrail's software-driven networking and policy management can be leveraged in a multi-cloud environment.

All you OpenStack Networking advocates, this meetup is for you!

Speaker:

DP Ayyadevara is Director of Product Management for Contrail SDN at Juniper. He has 16 years of experience in technologies ranging from Open SDN and Cloud Orchestration solutions to Service Provider and Enterprise networking. Prior to Juniper, DP was a Product Manager at Mirantis responsible for “All Things Networking.” Over the past 16 years, DP has played various roles from software development to product management and product strategy in large companies such as Cisco Systems and startups like Mirantis. DP holds an MBA from UC Berkeley and a Masters in Computer Engineering from UMd, College Park.
