Title: “What Is VMware Doing With OpenStack?”

Abstract: “VMware is a part of the OpenStack Foundation, and we are excited to share the contributions we have made and continue to make to the community. We are known for our networking contributions in Neutron, but we are also active contributors to Nova, Cinder, Glance, and other projects, and a brief chat about the work we did on VMware Integrated OpenStack. Join us as we discuss our work in these areas.”

Title: “An Introduction to Cinder and OpenStack Storage Design”

Abstract: "The guys who the started the Cinder project will walk through the various types of storage in OpenStack and then move to a focus on block storage. The architecture, reference implementation,  drivers, testing and development cycle will be discussed.  A focus on exposing and using volume types is explored throughout the talk.  We will also discuss the design features added in Juno and what to expect from Kilo. An demo (possibly live) will show how to configure multiple cinder backends with various volume types will be given.
