Streamlining Kubernetes Upgrades for Kafka at Shopify by Sanaa Syed and Rosa Seohwa Kang - Production Engineers @Shopify
Level: Beginner At Shopify, we upgrade our Kubernetes versions twice a year. This is a careful and strategic process that involves moving large amounts of data at once in our Kafka clusters. This past quarter, we were able to migrate 14 clusters in the span of 3 weeks by streamlining the process and optimizing the speed of these stateful migrations.
