Many customers of Kubernetes in the cloud are realizing they don’t want to manage nodes just as much as they didn’t want to manage Kubernetes itself. Now managed Kubernetes is a standard across clouds but what about managed nodes? Azure and Hyper.sh have both abstracted the layer of nodes to just pods, so developers can now deploy their apps directly onto pods, in the cloud, without having to worry about the underlying VMs underneath. This takes away operational hardships for developers and they can continue to focus on building great apps rather than fumbling with infrastructure they shouldn’t have to care about.
Through technical descriptions of Azure Container Instances, the ACI Connector and Virtual Kubelet, the audience will walk away with a new idea of how to implement their applications in Azure and will feel empowered to make true serverless apps.
