This technical session is designed for the following corporate and academic audiences: Data/Analytics, Cloud Infrastructure & Administration, Software Engineering & Development

6:00-6:15: Networking/Introductions

6:15-6:45: Steve Howard, former Director of Enterprise Systems Data Architecture at Express the Retailer and currently a Systems Engineer at Confluent, will build out and demo how to implement a real-time streaming Apache Kafka / KSQL pilot in the Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP). The demonstration will showcase Steaming ETL from multiple data sources residing on-premise and in the Cloud for integration with a Cloud data warehouse. This solution is used in production with Healthcare, Insurance, Retail & Manufacturing customers in Michigan.

6:45-7:15: Amway will be presenting a deep dive on how they build out Microservices running Confluent Cloud Apache Kafka on AWS for real-time order processing taking data from legacy systems to digital decouple and modernize their global web order management system.
