This month's meeting will be held in conjunction with the keynote address at the Big Data Ignite 2016 workshop and conference, Sep. 29/30. Time: 10:25 AM. Room number: "C/D" (a combined room) on the third-floor "Grand Gallery Overlook".
The keynote address, entitled "Victory Lab 2016: A Report from the Campaign Trail," will be delivered by well-known author Sasha Issenberg. In his book, "The Victory Lab: The Secret Science of Winning Campaigns," dubbed “Moneyball for politics” by Politico, Sasha went on the campaign trail to find the hidden story of the analytical revolution upending the way political campaigns are run in the 21st century. Renegade thinkers are crashing the gates of a venerable American institution, shoving aside its so-called wise men and replacing them with a radical new data-driven order. As the 2016 Presidential race heads into the homestretch, Sasha will discuss what he's seeing in the current race and how it compares to past campaigns.
