KubeCon 19 in San Diego was not only the largest at over 12000 people, 8000 of those folks were first time attendees. That's an insane number of folks new to the cloud-native community.
That's fantastic progress, but it also presents a challenge. How do we onboard new people to these exciting technologies? What projects and concepts are most important to learn first? What kinds of projects are available? And what role does the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) play?
December is a busy month, but while we're on the heels of KubeCon, let's try to answer some of those questions and introduce Saint Louis to the tech and the community. There was also quite a bit of news out of KubeCon, so we'll recap some of the important stuff.
This meetup will be 100% remote, livestreamed via YouTube. There will be about a 45 min presentation and 45 minutes to an hour for questions.
